Primary SEND Support

The uReach Centre

Sindlesham, Reading

The uReach centre is located in the peaceful, rural surroundings of Sindlesham. We've invested significantly in renovating our dedicated alternative provision centre. This transformation has created a space designed to foster the growth and development of primary school-aged children with SEND with or without a current EHCP. Our thoughtfully adapted facility provides a bespoke and effective learning experience that goes beyond traditional education. Within this calm and supportive environment, every zone and resource is designed to provide an engaging and personalised journey for each child, allowing them to truly reach their full potential.

The Base

It’s a large, open space designed for moving around. We’ve got a sensory swing, a basketball hoop, and plenty of sofas if you just want a bit of a sit-down. This is also where we’ll get started with our morning sensory circuits to help everyone settle in.

The Activity Room

A space with lots of options and activities available. It’s well-stocked with Lego, Tuff Trays, and plenty of kit for arts and crafts. It’s a great spot if you like building things or want to try your hand at a new project.

The Green Room

Similar to the Activity Room but more geared towards focused activities and relaxing including board games and a chill out sofa space. Along with the sofas, there’s a large interactive screen which is brilliant for games, looking things up, or watching videos.

Primary SEND Support

The Sensory Room

A quiet, dedicated space for when you need to switch off for a bit. It’s got a bubble tube, adjustable lighting, and beanbags. It’s there whenever you feel you need a breather or a calm environment to reset.

Primary AP Centre

The Kitchen

The kitchen is a social hub. It’s where we get together for a bit of a chat over a drink or a snack. It’s also a great place to pick up a few practical life skills, like learning to prep a simple meal or just tidying up after yourself.

Shinfield St Mary's Junior School

Beth Webster | SENDCO

We have recently begun working in collaboration with uReach and have been very impressed with their service. The two young people we have placed with them for Alternative Provision are both thriving within the environment and are able to manage themselves far more positively. Communication is always easy and emails and phone calls responded to instantly. A joined up approach has been used to work with uReach, school, parents and other agencies. Visits from school are actively encouraged and the children feel valued, safe and listened to. We have regular catch up meetings and logs are provided by uReach on a weekly basis. I would highly recommend uReach as an AP provider. They are a fairly new company, but one who will thrive with their alternative approach and their expertise and experience with SEN. The setting is also very calming and adaptable. There are zoned areas for children to explore, and quiet spaces, alongside a sensory room. As a school, we are very pleased with how our children are progressing. Thank you uReach.

Robert Piggott CE Schools

Ali Sinfield | Assistant Headteacher & Inclusion Lead

Since joining uReach in December 2025, our two pupils (Year 2 and Year 5) have benefitted enormously
from the highly supportive and adaptable environment provided. Both pupils find a mainstream school
environment extremely challenging and are currently awaiting specialist school placements as
documented in their EHCPs. This provision has offered them a safe, structured, and nurturing setting
that meets their individual needs.

Both pupils have already shown clear progress in their behaviour, both within the provision and when
attending school. They are increasingly able to respond to adult requests and instructions and show
greater readiness to accept adult support to co‐regulate. This improvement has had a noticeable positive
impact on their overall engagement and emotional wellbeing.
